Fine Fiber Art Wallhanging, New Pathways
This original fabric work of art was created with a large variety of designer cotton fabrics cut into many small bits and quilted together.
The design is abstract however I called it "New Pathways" because the cream colored fabrics seem to be carving out paths in different directions. To me this is a metaphor for life. We have so many choices each day that can change the course of our life. Which path will you take?
The piece is 10 inches wide by 8 inches high and mounted on an artist canvas, cloaked in black fabric and ready to hang. It is a "raw edge" fabric technique with "free motion" quilting and finished with a few Swarovski crystals.
This piece is currently on display in my public studio located at "Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre" www.williamsmill.com So, if you like it, please don't wait - it's a one-of-a-kind that cannot be re-created!
